SERS substrate: New product


FLEW Research and Development team is constantly working to succeed in their products and manufacturing.  After months of investigations and testing, FLEW team was able to successfully produce new ultrasensitive Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) substrate at a low cost. These SERS substrates have been developed in conjunction with Dr. Jurga Juodkazytė from the Center for Physical Sciences and Technology, Vilnius, Lithuania and Prof. Saulius Juodkazis from Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia.

Why FLEW SERS Substrate?

We use simple wet chemical fabrication technique to produce uniformly distributed nanostructured surface on the SERS substrate. Our unique fabrication method combined with high-volume manufacturing process allow us to manufacture extremely sensitive substrate at a low cost. Due to uniform and abundant distribution of “hot spots”, FLEW SERS substrate has raman signal uniformity over large area.

How does FLEW SERS substrate work?

SERS substrate material is copper coated with thin layer (few nm) of gold. SERS active area is 12.6 mm2 with sensitivity of 10-5 M (analyte dependent).  Substrate can be prepared by drop deposition (5 ul), substrate immersion or vapour deposition followed by air drying. Our SERS substrate works for laser excitation wave length of 785 nm.
