Micro-nanoencapsulation

Micro-nanoencapsulation is a new technique to effectively envelop/encase certain substance(s) inside a layer of protective materials that generate capsules with sizes ranging from a few hundred nm to a few hundred mm. This process can be achieved through an emulsion based self-assembly process of inorganic nanoparticles as the capsule material that provides better leaching protection, chemical and thermal stabilities compared to organic materials (liposome, polymer).

 

 

FLEW offers a tailored formulation to encapsulate active agents of customer’s request with a great range to choose from a variety of particle sizes (30, 50, 70, 100, 200, 300, 400 nm) and features (porous, non-porous, hydrophobic, hydrophilic) as the capsule materials. The FLEW team will exclusively design the encapsulation technique to accommodate various sizes and concentrations of active agents. This will create micro-nanocapsules with excellent mechanical, chemical and thermal stability that allow a good control of permeability and delivery of the active agents.
